It is used in animals as an intestinal antiinfective agent. May cause brown discoloration of the nails and erythema multiforme like eruptions. UCU >Chlorquinaldol< Fungistat and antibacterial agent in topical pharmaceutical preparations. (5,7-dichloro-2-methyl-8-quinolinol, Sterosan).
