Uses

This compound is used as an ointment in the treatment of scabies and other parasitic skin diseases. It is also used in inhalations for catarrh of the upper respiratory tract. It is used in fumigating pastilles and powders, in perfumes, as an imbedding material in microscopy, as a topical protectant and as an expectorant.
